Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Description

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
  
  
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  
  
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
  
  
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  
  
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes.
  
  
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  
  
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to CNAs and other support staff.
  
  
• Supervise nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.
  
  
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  
  
• Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards.
  
  
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in all patient care situations.
  
  
• Promote a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive care environment.
  
  
• Maintain flexibility with patient assignments, floating, and staffing needs.
  
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  
  
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  
  
• Minimum 6 months of recent RN experience.
  
  
• Current BLS/CPR Certification (ACLS preferred where applicable).
  
  
• Negative TB test (as required).
  
  
• Successful background check.
  
  
• Annual physical examination (if required by the facility).
  
  
• Compliance with facility COVID-19 vaccination and screening requirements.
  
  

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 80 lbs.
  
  
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
  
  
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
