Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements:
Licensed practical nurses are expected to deliver safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and assisted living communities.
Basic Job Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Active LPN license from the state in which you plan to work
• Minimum 6 months of LPN work experience
• Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
• CPR certification
• Annual physical (where required)
• Negative TB test results
• Clean background check
• COVID-19 Vaccination (where required)
Job Responsibilities:
As a licensed practical nurse, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:
• Admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
• Taking and reporting patient vital signs.
• Administering medications as ordered and reporting adverse reactions.
• Dressing patient wounds and collecting blood and urine samples.
• Communicating effectively with patients and family members.
• Providing timely documentation that’s accurate and organized.
• Restocking supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
All Employers should adhere to CMS and local Department of Health guidance on Covid-19 vaccinations. Healthcare professionals (HCPs) must be up to date on all recommended Covid-19 vaccinations, including a booster dose when required. HCPs who are not up to date on Covid-19 vaccination doses may be required to undergo weekly testing and comply with mask mandates at ShiftMed’s client facilities. Vaccinated workers may still be subject to regular Covid-19 symptom screenings including temperature and symptom checks.

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
